Pony Club, Take II

*Warning*
This post contains cell phone pics.

Every other week, we meet at a hunter/jumper barn.
Franchesca and I discussed the merits
of remaining diligent with River,
continuing with Pony Club meetings, humbling as they were.
We practiced loading River
several times a day in an effort to move forward,
to grow and learn as horse and rider.
 Truth is we were nervous.
We started loading her several hours before PC was to start
which was great because we were the first to arrive,
we let River walk around and acclimate.
We tried to acclimate.
The outdoor arena was far less intimidating
and the gorgeous weather felt promicing.
This meeting turned out to be very fun,
with River behaving a bit more civil.
There was hope.
We should have never questioned.
Perserverence has always paid.
This could be the start of a wonderful thing.
